Your choice of your Physical Therapist is up to you the patient. If a surgeon or physician refers you to physical therapy you may receive your treatment where you wish.

At Valley Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Services, P.C. the Care of our Patients Comes First & Foremost - Healthcare the way it should be!

We are a privately owned, physical therapist owned practice. We are not owned by any physicians nor any large corporation. We began in 1983 with two physical therapists, friends and colleagues, Stephen Griffin and William Hardy. These two gentlemen had a dream of setting off on their own and opening one of the finest physical medicine practices in the United States. We are proud to say that they have accomplished that goal due to hard work and a good instinct in choosing wonderful highly qualified staff members that provide excellent patient care to our many patients. Valley Physical Therapy (VPT) has prospered by building a team, a "family" of health care professionals all dedicated to one goal, getting our patients well and back to their maximum potential effectively and as quickly and pain free as possible. Here you receive "old fashioned service" and "one on one" treatment by a highly qualified, licensed professional.

Both Stephen Griffin and William Hardy have served on Local, State, and National Boards working closely with governing bodies, schools and universities in implementing changes and monitoring physical therapy courses, instruction, laws and services.

Both our founders have served in many official capacities in the field. They have held numerous positions in the CPTA - Connecticut Physical Therapy Association as well as the National Physical Therapy Organization the APTA - American Physical Therapy Association. Many of our current staff members serve in these organizations to this day.

Staff and Relationships
Our Physical Therapy staff is very proud of the work that they have done with our many patients referred to our care. One of the most important relationships that any rehabilitation professional can have is with the physicians, surgeons, and other health care professionals that monitor our patients care and progress. Our staff is honored to have some of the best working relationships going with the many wonderful Connecticut Physicians, Surgeons, and other health care workers that we work alongside of to provide the ultimate in care for our patients. Respect and dedication reigns.

Future Goals
Our goal at Valley Physical Therapy is to continue to provide the finest patient care in the State of Connecticut for Rehabiliation and Physical Therapy services. We continue to work to make each and every patients' life as self sufficient, pain free, and healthy as it can be. We will continue to spend time with each and every patient that comes through our doors and treat you and your rehabilitation needs personally, efficiently, effectively and with respect.
